WANTED: travelling companions
Posted by Lauren | Under Travel with 540 views Friday Apr 13, 2007Looks like May is going to be another month of doing nothing since my stupid school won’t release our diplomas til June, therefore delaying my career plans another month.
I have decided to use that time to go on a trip all over the Philippines for maybe two or three weeks. As much as I love my friends, they tend to be quite flaky when it comes to making plans like these. So I need traveling companions, preferably someone from the Philippine blogosphere so that I’ll be more or less sure that you aren’t a psychokiller.
Comment on this entry and let’s make plans.
By the way, congrats for a very good talk yesterday! Re: Travelling – This would be really cool!!! I have thought of doing this too. Well, after graduating, you have all the time in the world to explore and travel (lucky you!) I, on the other hand, have summer classes in UP, starting on Monday. Fun, but Sad (I want to travel and see the wonders of the Philippines!!!)
Best,
Bong
Hey. =) I was the girl in a yellow shirt who asked a question during your presentation. Anyway, I’ve only seen parts of the Philippines (I’ve never been to another island other than mainland Luzon). I haven’t even seen most of Luzon either! Anyway, my friends and I have been meaning to go on a trip but like you sometimes I get flaky as well. I do get moments when I just want to jump on a bus and wander off to anywhere even if it’s just for the weekend, overnight or even a day trip. My moments don’t push through though because I either have 1) no money or 2) no one to do it with. Last thing I wanna do is get lost alone. Ten times better with company. You feel less like an idiot. Spur of the moment moments. Game?! Hehe. Just message. =P
Lauren, traveling would certainly do you good, especially after going through the hurdles prior to graduation. Just be careful who you chose to accompany you, :)
Anyway, I saw you at the iBlog3, even approached you, after you delivered your talk. You are one witty gal, I might say. Go conquer the world. After your travel plans. And even after you get the important papers from school.
Why does the delay in release of your diploma delay your job hunt? Schools can release paper versions of your diploma that you can use when applying for jobs?
Ako pwede… hehehe…pero teka…san ba ang punta? hihi.
sayang! you could have joined us during a 5 day break in cebu last april 5-9… swear to God you would enjoy it as everything – lodging, food, watersports are for free. you’d just have to pay for your flight ticket…
me and a couple of (blogger) friends are hitting Lucban, Quezon this mid May for the Pahiyas Festival. you might wanna come ;)
anyway, my kudos to your engaging 1st-time talk. its a pleasure to meet u at the iBlog3. and even luckier to sit beside u at the post-summit celebration at UP Hotel…
Cheers!
*sad*
im so sorry lauren, i just happen to hopped on your mom and your brother’s blog and i didnt know that the tragic accident happen in cebu…
again, sorry…
hey lauren, who says you can be sure that we netizens aren’t psychos? heh heh
seriously, though, traveling alone isn’t that bad. plus, you get the benefit of having complete control of your itinerary.
not that i’m saying you should, though. safer to travel with a buddy. lotsa psychos out in the real world.
