Looks great!
I got my bottom one done, and everyone says I'm weird because of it. I'm glad someone else shares my views about how it is different (and in my opinion, better looking).
I've always been afraid of the skank factor, but I've found that this is one of the easiest piercings to have and hide, because it is all about the top you wear. (Though I wish I could have gone out in a midriff when I first got it done, ouch!)
Speaking of jewelry, do you know of any good places for bottom navel bars? I have to be really careful what I pick, because they have to either be flipped upside-down, or don't lie flat to my stomach below my navel.

Umm, I don't get it. Your whole rationale for saying regular navel piercings are trashy is that you have to bare your midriff for them to be seen. That is also the case with the inverse you got.

I had my belly button pierced on top a bit over a year ago. depending on the person i think it can look trashy, but most dont because theyre so common these days.

anyway, last week i got it pierced on the bottom as well. didnt know at the time that it hurst a HELL of a lot more on the bottom than on the top. and i have the oppostite problem, with the top one bending was fine and i had no problems with it, but with the bottom one i find i have to be a lot more carefull with it.

and i've seen boys with the bottom pierced (and some with the top) and it really depends on the person if it suits or not.

im tempted to get my tongue pierced next, but am worried about it interfering with job opportunities etc. plus im scared it'll hurt too much.

the normal navel piercing is not trashy, i have it done and i'm far from trashy... honestly its just a personal preference.. if i had known you could do it on the bottom at the time i would have.. but thats just because i think its cute.. not because the top is trashy.

Your piercing looks very cute...just be careful when using jewelry that you have bought online to get pierced. Where I get pierced, Tommy T ‘s body piercing , they only pierce with medical implant grade jewelry for the first piercing and then you can change it to the type you have in after it is healed...it could cause you to get irritated if you get pierced with it. I would play it safe and switch it to an internally threaded barbell until it heals and then put the pink gem one back in. Hope everything heals well :)

Who's your tattoo artist? I'm planning on getting a tattoo sometime early next year but I'm not sure who to trust. A lot of the tattoos I've seen are pretty wonky. :\
