I woke up on Monday to find that the needle thing of my piercing was halfway out the other hole. Rather than push it back in I just pulled it out. It hurt a little and I felt that nausea again (I was pulling a metal thing out of my body, damnit) but otherwise the two puncture wounds seem to be doing okay.
Surprisingly, I wasn’t not too upset about it. I guess ever since people told me that my piercing was done poorly, I began falling out of love with it. So on Tuesday afternoon I went over to the shop to complain about my failed piercing. The piercer offered to re-pierce it for free, but the puncture wounds were starting to kieloid and I decided that I didn’t want a stomach surface piercing anymore. So I asked if I could have my eyebrow pierced instead and he agreed!
I’m proud to say that I didn’t go into shock this time, but I guess it’s because I’m used to getting poked in the face for acne treatments in the past. My piercing is still a little swollen but otherwise, it seems to be doing great. XD Yesterday I ordered a bunch of barbells from PiercingPal, this awesome E-Bay store based in Thailand, but I think I’ll wait a couple of weeks before I have them put in. I want to make sure that my piercing is fully healed before I do anything to it because I would be very, very pissed if something goes wrong.
My parents weren’t too thrilled when they learned about my eyebrow piercing, but I’m not surprised. :p I’m glad they didn’t make me remove it or anything, though. After my mom whined about how I “ruined my eyebrows” and my dad made me promise not to get a tattoo, they pretty much left my piercing alone. Weee. Despite what my parents say, I never thought an eyebrow piercing would look so good on me and I’m really happy I got it done. I think this will be the last one I’m going to get in a while (I’m considering my tongue, but I’ll wait for my folks to get over the eyebrow first) because right now, I just want to enjoy (and show off) my eyebrow.
It looks a lot cooler than the tummy piercing.

Oooh I like!!! I kind of want to be a bit more daring with piercings, but I wouldn’t be able to wear it at work =\ So the best I can do is stuff that hides… but my belly is too flabby for any kind of piercing!

Not sure if you remember this, but I had a surface piercing on my forearm for about 6 months. My body totally rejected it, which is a bummer because I loved it :/

Hi,
I learned something about piercings being rejected. Let me ask what kind of metal the piercing was made of? Because Silver and Gold, plastics and nikkel (sorry dunno if ‘nikkel’ is used in english) are often rejected. Only Titanium Piercings are never rejected, thats why they always use titanium in surgery. In few cases titanium gets rejected by the body, but thats only when the person didnt take good care of it. Also, only use disinfect liquids at the first day, as the piercing has to heal from the inside to the outside, not the other way. use the gel that you can buy at the piercing/tattoo shop, after 3 days the piercing should be healed, after two weeks its safe to get it out and place an other one. Also, check often if the balls are still tightened to the stick, thats probably what went wrong with your belly piercing.
About belly piercings and woman, be carefull, when you get pregnant, and your tummy gets really big (often in the last month) it can leave really ugly stretch scars, even when you took them out. Thats what happened with my wife.
Oh, and yes, your eyebrow piercing really suits you.
And remember, never use other metals/plastics than titanium in the healing stage. About 30% of the people reject non-titanium piercings. Unless you know certainly that your body doesnt reject the other metals.

Surface piercings tend to reject, surface anchors are better.
And seriously, you don’t know the name of the jewelry or how to look for a reputable shop or jewelry retailer…maybe hold off. Eyebrows take about 3 months to heal, not a couple of weeks.

ANY metal can reject, the gauge and placement tend to determine the security of the piercing. And NO piercing heals in 3 days. Most scrapes don’t heal in 3 days. Lol.
Healing from the inside out is 100% correct, being in good health and keeping your clothes/sheets clean as well as proper sleep and nutrition are key. Titanium IS a better metal to be pierced with because it is not alloyed with other metals such as nickel and is non-reactive. It is also lighter weight so it puts less stress on the piercing.

I had my eyebrow piercing for over a year and a half. I let it close couple of months ago because the piercing was starting to reject – I could see that the skin between the two balls was getting too thin and delicate for my comfort.
I’m thinking of getting it re-pierced soon though!

eyebrow piercings grow out after a matter of years (between 1 and 3 usually)

Love the eyebrow piercing thinking about getting one myself but am worried that it will hurt and I have heard horror stories that if you hit a nerve you are screwed.

Nipple piercing SUCK!!! I got mine pierced years ago and had to take them out after a year. they hurt so bad and never healed right. Also you have to make sure they dont get caught on anything because it will hurt bad!!!

just wanted to say u need to wash ur eyebrow with saline solution twice daily not pick scabs and not twist or touch it for four months before changing it
your piercer should’ve told you that
im surprised it swelled at all, i’ve pierced over 40 eyebrows and never known one to have swollen (we do a check up after the first two weeks to see how its getting on) but everyone is different, and it should still be fine as long as you keep it clean
