Great blog!!! I hate it VERY MUCH when I hear people say “Bora”. Even in facebook, whenever I see someone write ‘the word’ down on a friend’s wall, I always write back on the same wall, “Where’s BORA?” to bring them back to their senses?

How about a blog on ZAMBA(LES) and those people who post messages on social networking sites as if their typing on a mobile phone? Are they just to lazy to write down whole words or are they just poor in spelling?

yeah.. hate it when people started calling it bora. i have never never called it that way. trying hard eh. and its nice to go there during off-peak periods. no hassle and jologs.

Boracay locals and residents can’t stand the “Bora” label too – and the crowd it represents, who no longer come here for the sand, sea and scenery, but to head to the nearest mall. Sad bastards, throwing their trash everywhere and making a garbage dump of our once beautiful island.
Good months to come are from October – December (with the exception of christmas) when the weather is good but the party crowds have not yet arrived.

Bora is a conyo slang, I believe. :P I kinda got infected with their calling Boracay as Bora. *bleh* I wouldn’t want to be seen there nor Galera with all the conyos. -_- Go to where they are and you might end up being called one. Tsk, tsk.

Hi, i’m a regular reader of your mom’s blogs. i have a 1 year old daughte and i feat that the society she will grow up with would be one where boracay is “bora”, where aircon is “a/c”, nobody can finish a sentence without using the words “like”, “as in”, but these are petty fears compared to the one I have that by the time she grows up, it would be considered so silly for a daughter to actually like spending time with her parents. You make me hope that that wouldn’t be entirely true…

I was in Boracay the sme days you were there :) I have to agree, Boracay should be the name and not Bora. Although I use Bora all the time now, you know, friends call it Bora lang.
