Well, I think bittorrent(I use a modified bittornado) is a lot faster than Limewire when it comes to downloading(based on experience) and has less hassles too when it comes to port security. It just all comes down to these factors though:

1. How many seeders there are.
2. How many seeders are not firewalled.
3. How many seeders are near in your location and has a high speed.
4. How your firewall is configured.
5. How high your ratio is.
6. How fast your actual connection to the internet is.

Even with a single seeder as long as that seeder has a decent dsl connection, I usually have an average dl speed of 20kbps at 0 ratio. I just love to download anime/manga/new movies/albums through bittorrent. I usually use isohunt.com, boxtorrents.com, demonoid.com - it still depends on what you think though, about which of the two is faster.

you can download individual episodes with torrents too -- i use bitcomet and you download the season's torrent and then check the episodes you want to download :) it's much faster that way because then i download 4 episodes and while watching them, i'm downloading another 4. it takes me about 2+ days to download, if i download one episode, it takes me a couple of hours.

Really? From my experience, the download speed of Limewire is a lot faster than through torrents. But then again, it could be that I usually just download individual episodes instead of one whole season.

Hi, it's Alli.
tvtorrents.com is good for tv shows, and yes it takes a very long time--but from what I've determined it's faster than limewire for downloading shows when you *have* to watch the first season of Grey's Anatomy and it's not on DVD yet.

the more popular ones are mininova.org, thepiratebay.org, and torrenttyphoon.com
what client do you use? there's one modified off azureus (the most widely-used client so far) that lets you search for the torrents on the client itself. localhost (http://p2p.cs.mu.oz.au/software/Localhost/) hope this helps!

Hi! I'm just bloghopping and I want to share something to help you with your Bittorrent predicament.

Torrent search sites you might want to visit.
http://thepiratebay.org/
http://www.torrentspy.com/

Software:
Opera (web browser) 8.02
http://snapshot.opera.com/windows/
(make sure you get the BitTorrent Technology Preview if you want to get the version with Bittorrent support)

hi, just a passerby
but yeah i used to use bittorent and unfortunately it was quite slow for large files, such as those of movies and shows. But if you really want to take the time to read about clubbox.co.kr, it's faster. It's in korean but there are instructions on the internet on how to sign up, and http://com5.runboard.com/bclubbox.fcblinks has some clubbox links, some of which include a large variety of western films =) idk i use it and it's fun hah
