first time i saw it -- it went really slow -- but I was living in Delta Utah at the time -- and Preston Idaho is very similar. I think you have to live in a small western American town to really appreciate it. It's like the first time I saw Strange Brew. I didn't get it -- but by the 3rd time - it became a classic to me -- I quote lines from it now. Same goes for Napoleon Dynamite... b/c when you live in a small western American town - the movie stays at the only theater in town for 7 weeks -- so you end up seeing it two or three times. I loved it by the 3rd time - I totally get it. Sometimes, and if you are able to spend any loafing hours of the day doing this -- you just have to see it more than once. Now that you've already seen it - you don't have any big expectations -- so you can really appreciate the 2nd or 3rd time!

Hahahah... well ya it is a gawky movie... i dont think it was meant to really "amuse" anyone... Its really hard to relate with the characters.. But here in America the dorky 'socially- akward' guy exist in schools and i think that might be why this movie was somehow popular here..... I saw the movie, i didn't think it was a big deal but i did laugh....
